The Naked and Famous

The Naked and Famous // as interpreted by Epifanía Alarcón
I met a very talented and super friendly illustrator called Epifanía Alarcón a couple of weeks ago at the Dublin Flea and Block T Christmas Market.
She had a stall beside mine and that’s how she heard about the concept of RGBeats. I was only too delighted to hear that she had done this before with her illustrations. She sent them on to me last week but I’ve only managed to post them online today as I got lost in the buzz of Socialdom.
In November, Epifaná went to a Naked and Famous gig. The following day, she did the above illustration while listening to them.
“After doing it i realized it looks like a rhubarb!,” she says on her blog.

This one was done listening to Tegan and Sarah. The shading and metallics coming out in these illustrations are fantastic.
Holly Miranda

I hadn’t heard of American singer-songwriter Holly Miranda until my attention was drawn to her through this piece that carries the beauty of a peacock.
She’s supported all the cool people like Tegan and Sarah, The XX and a wagon called Florence. I particularly love her cover of The Antlers (listen below)
If you like these illustrations, you should really take the time to hop on over to http://pifanida.blogspot.com to browse through lots more of Epifanía’s work.
